How to participate in the Science without Borders program which will welcome 12,000 Brazilian students at the undergraduate, doctoral and post-doctoral levels in Canada

Funded primarily by the Brazilian Government, the Science without Borders (SwB) scholarship program aims to send 101,000 Brazilian students to study internationally in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) subjects by 2015. The Government of Brazil is funding 75,000 scholarships and a further 26,000 are being funded by the private sector. Canada will welcome 12,000 Brazilian students at the undergraduate, doctoral and post-doctoral levels.

Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada (DFAIT) has launched a webpage regarding the Brazilian SwB program which features general information about the program and key contacts, and also promotes Canada as a study destination. Here you will find specific details for:

* a Brazilian student or researcher who wishes to participate in the SwB program
* a non-Brazilian researcher who wishes to participate in the SwB program
* a Canadian academic institution which wishes to participate in the SwB Program
* a private sector organization which wishes to participate in the SwB program
